Video and Motion Editor

Overview
As a Video and Motion Editor, you will be responsible for the creative development, editing, and enhancement of recorded raw materials into polished, high-quality video content suitable for export. This includes camera footage, audio, sound effects, motion graphics, and animations—crafted in line with the creative direction provided by the creative lead or the client, ensuring all project specifications are met.
Requirements
- Strong creative and storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in video editing and motion graphics software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other industry-standard animation tools (e.g., Blender or Toon Boom, as needed).
- Experience in basic animation and motion graphics design, with an understanding of keyframe animation, typography animation, and basic visual effects.
- Competency in video conceptualization, editing, and planning to deliver visually engaging content.
- Strong technical skills in post-production processes, including basic color grading, basic sound design, and basic visual effects.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high production quality.
Responsibilities
- Review project briefs and collaborate with the production team to understand creative direction and technical specifications.
- Assess raw footage, trim clips, and assemble sequences into a cohesive narrative that aligns with the project's objectives.
- Edit and oversee post-production processes, ensuring seamless transitions, pacing, and storytelling.
- Design and animate motion graphics, including title sequences, lower thirds, animated overlays, and transitions to enhance video content.
- Create basic 2D animation to complement live-action footage when needed.
- Implement revisions and refinements based on client and creative team feedback.
- Curate and integrate music, audio effects, and voiceovers to enhance storytelling and mood.
- Ensure all final video exports meet format, resolution, and quality standards required for different platforms (e.g., social media, web, broadcast).
- Stay updated on industry trends, editing techniques, and animation advancements to continuously improve the creative output.
- Perform other tasks as needed in line with the role's scope.
