Overview
We’re searching for an expert calligrapher who knows their way around a brush or pen. You’ll be tasked with internalizing each project’s needs, and conceiving of ways to meet them through the medium of calligraphy. You must have a critical eye, and strong knowledge of ink, tools, and different paper types. We trust that you’ve honed your skill to a fine point, and continue to work towards further mastery and experimentation.

Requirements

- Working knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud applications like Illustrator and Photoshop

Responsibilities
- Synthesizing client client requests and gathering the various tools (ink, brushes, paper, etc.) needed to fulfill them
- Keeping a good, clean inventory of nibs, brushes, inks, and other miscellanea
- Developing a strong portfolio out of existing work for clients
- Preparing calligraphy-based layouts and drafts as needed
- Using dotted paper for calligraphy drills
- Staying on top of current and past trends in the field of calligraphy
- Clear communication with internal teams and clients alike
- Setting clear and manageable project timeframes
